Candy continued to reign as our favorite food. Dad had watched us from afar hoping he could change our eating habits. He decided to try a candy bar experiment to help us lose our love affair with chocolate.
He would stop by the local grocery store after work and buy a huge bag filled with every kind of candy bar imaginable. He told us the only rule was that we had to eat the candy ourselves and were not allowed to share any. (Like we were going to share!)
This experiment lasted one week. We consumed copious amounts of candy, gained weight and never lost our love for candy. Dad decided to stop the experiment when he realized the candy bar continued to reign supreme.
It was a noble idea, and an interesting experiment that we all learned from (and from which my sister and I especially benefited!).
